CHIC is a real factory run by real people. Below are the five who lead our day-to-day work — from the founder who set up our manufacturing base back in 2017, to the team members you'll be talking to and emailing once you start a project with us.
Chuan Pu
Founder & CEO
Chuan Pu founded the CHIC factory in 2017 after years working across China's wooden-products supply chain — from raw timber sourcing in Cao County to finished export programs for global brands. In 2020 he registered Xiamen Chic Homeware Co., Ltd. to take the company's products direct-to-export. His hands-on background informs how CHIC approaches material selection and helps buyers match the right wood to the right project. Chuan believes that better-informed buyers make better products, and that sustainably sourced wood, well crafted, will outperform a generic hardwood every time.
Cassie Zhang
Head of Sales
Cassie leads the sales team and is the first point of contact for most of our long-term partners. With many years in foreign trade and B2B export, she is known for clear communication, fast turnaround on quotes and samples, and a no-shortcuts approach to problem-solving — whether that means untangling a sudden specification change mid-production or coordinating an urgent FBA-deadline shipment. Her view: the supplier who takes ownership when something goes wrong is the supplier worth keeping.
Yucheng Lu
Production Manager
Yucheng runs day-to-day production at our 15,000 m² facility in Cao County. After three years at CHIC he knows every machine, every finisher, and every workshop lead by name. His job is to translate signed sales orders into finished goods on the dock — on spec, on time, and at the quality level the buyer signed off on. When sales says 'the buyer wants tighter grain on the lid,' Yucheng is the person who makes that happen on the floor.
Vivi Cheng
Head of Design
Vivi is the bridge between buyer intent and what the factory floor can actually build. Once a product brief is confirmed with sales, she develops the construction drawings, material specifications, and prototype iterations — coordinating directly with the production team and the sales account manager. Her focus: drawings the workshop can hit, finishes the buyer will love, and details that survive a 30,000-piece production run without drift.
Lingling Zhang
Head of Quality
Lingling owns quality from in-process inspection through final pre-shipment QC. She runs the 100% visual inspection for premium accounts and AQL sampling for the rest, and writes the corrective-action reports when a sample fails. Her standing rule on the floor: if a defect is found, it gets logged, root-caused, and fixed — never quietly shipped. That is how buyers come back season after season.
