From the founder
Why I started CHIC.
I started CHIC after a decade in wooden products because I kept seeing the same problem on both sides of the table.
Many of our buyers — brilliant product designers, established kitchenware brands, talented Amazon sellers — didn't fully understand the trade-offs between different wood materials. They would specify walnut for a budget-line storage box, or pine for a premium serving tray, and the result was either over-engineered cost or under-delivered quality.
On the factory side, suppliers often just took the order without flagging the mismatch. Easier to quote what the buyer asked for than to explain why a different wood would actually work better.
CHIC was built to close that gap. We treat material education as part of our service — we will tell you when paulownia makes more sense than pine, or when an acacia-walnut two-tone delivers more visual value than solid walnut at the same retail price. We invest in responsible sourcing and we publish a detailed material guide because better-informed buyers make better products and waste less wood doing it.
Nearly a decade into running our own factory, that is still the work: matching the right wood to the right project, making it well, and being honest about what each option can and cannot do.

2017
Factory founded
CHIC's manufacturing base is established in Cao County, Shandong — one of China's most established wooden-products clusters. Production starts with kitchenware and storage boxes for domestic brands.
2020
Xiamen export company established
Xiamen Chic Homeware Co., Ltd. is registered to handle export business directly. This unlocks shipping to the United States, EU, UK, Japan, and Australia under our own brand and as OEM for global partners.
2025
Annual revenue tops 20M RMB
Year-end results cross 20,000,000 RMB (~2.8M USD) in export sales — driven by repeat orders from 4+ year B2B partners across six countries.

Material Selection & Preparation
Wood is sourced, dried to target moisture content, cut and pre-conditioned. FSC documents prepared if required.
Mass Production
Production runs in our own factory under ISO-style procedures. Daily progress photos shared if you want.
Quality Inspection
In-process and final QC: dimensions, finish, structure, packaging integrity. Third-party AQL audit available on request.
Packing & Export Shipping
